My name is John Jensik. You invited me and my fishing buddy, Bill to join you over your Sandie spot last Thursday. We had a great time and enjoyed meeting such a kind person and great fisherman. We both learned a lot and will put it to good use. I went to your website and was very impressed, it looks as though you have a great organization. I was especially impressed by the photos, you seem to have mastered Grapevine Lake, something I have been working on for a few years, but still have a lot to learn. When I was a kid, we caught lots of big crappies on the Mississippi around Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, but I haven’t been able to get them on Grapevine Lake except for an incidental ones once in a while. Where should we look? I know that with crappies, location is 90% of the battle and honestly I apparently am looking in the wrong places. The other 10% is bait. When I was a kid we used minnows. Would small Chad or cut Chad work as well? Or are minnows a must? Also, we would often get them started with minnows and then change to any small shiny spoon and they would sometimes really go nuts. Am I on the right track? Bill and I plan to be out on the lake next Wednesday.

Thanks for taking my son and I out this past Saturday. It was the most fun that I have had in a long time and I enjoyed being able to spend it with my son. I was not expecting to catch that many sand bass. That was the most fish I have ever caught in one trip out to the lake. It has been several years since I have been out fishing and I could not have called on a better guide. You truly not only know the lakes around here, but know how to catch them and showed us techniques that I would never tried before. As we were fishing you gave us simple but effective tips that turned us from catching a few fish to a ton of fish. You are truly an expert at what you do. Thanks again and we will be calling you soon for our next On Point Adventure.

This was my first experience with a guided hunt of any kind. I went on a bird hunt which I had never done before either. We hunted quail, pheasant, and chucker. This was a very inexpensive guided hunt. Because I have family and friends that live far away I don’t get to see them much. This hunt allowed my friends and family to get together and experience something we all enjoy. The bird dogs held well on point and flushed on command. Overall this hunt was an awesome experience and I look forward to going again.
